Visually dynamic yet inherently timeless – the architecture of Rockley is a response to the very essence of its South Yarra location.

MASTERFUL
ARCHITECTURE

The building has been designed to settle in seamlessly with the architectural character of Rockley Road, marrying a refined palette of materials with an exquisitely crafted form. Draped in lush landscaping, there is an organic quality to the facade that resonates with the greenery of the South Yarra streetscape.

The facade is defined by a series of smooth curves, which work in harmony to create a sculptural aesthetic and an undeniable sense of artistry. This is complemented by a monochromatic palette of concrete render, bluestone cladding and black metal.

“Rockley creates a series of contemporary town homes, each with an emphasis on a generosity of space and natural light.”

PALATIAL
INTERIORS

Combining opulent materiality, generous amenities and palatial proportions throughout – Rockley’s interiors epitomise enduring quality. Expansive and light-filled, spaces enjoy an ever-present image of greenery through vast, full-height windows. The open-plan living area features large sliding doors to create a seamless flow between in and out – the ideal setting for entertaining during the warmer months.

The name Rockley is derived from the old English word ‘Rockholt’, which means ‘rock’ and ‘wood’. Exploring juxtapositions of stone and timber, Genton drew much of their inspiration from this whilst curating the interiors palette. A continuation of the facade, there is also a strong focus on the sculpture motif within these spaces. Throughout, striking pieces sit atop robust stone plinths – emulating the visual of a sculpture sitting proudly upon a podium.

but also unique.”

Kichen
& Living

Whilst designing the open-plan kitchen and living area, Genton were inspired by the idea of a curated space. As such, their focus was on meticulous planning and bold, beautiful finishes appointed with artful precision. The centre piece is the island bench, a statement object formed of captivating green marble. Full-height timber joinery encompasses the space, housing an elegant bar area and sleek, European appliances. The fireplace sits within stunning travertine joinery, which imbues a sculptural quality and an unrivalled sense of grandeur.

Timber
Joinery

Contrasting beautifully with the natural stone, the interiors feature an abundance of timber veneer joinery to bring warmth and texture to living spaces as well as an organic quality. Scheme One features ‘Smoked Oak’, a charcoal coloured finish with bold sensibility. Scheme Two features ‘Ashwood’, a lighter finish cultivating a homely look and feel.

Master
Bedroom

With its curved walls, plush carpets and generous proportions, the master bedroom has been designed to evoke opulence at its most comfortable. Here, the joinery sits upon a solid base to become the focal point of the room.

Master
Ensuite

Encapsulating the sculpture motif, the ensuite features two stone vanities and a brass centrepiece displayed upon a solid base. This is enhanced by curved walls, designed to cultivate a feeling of calm. The layering of textures and finishes creates a bold yet elegant environment in which to rejuvenate at day’s end.

YET TIMELESS PALETTE
APPOINTED WITH ARTFUL
PRECISION.”
